The Buckfast Centenary Pilgrimage 1982

Day 4: Blackfield to Bransgore

Another long day, but much shorter than the previous day, and pretty much level as we traversed the New Forest from east to west. Mike had helped plan the day, but chose to walk at a more leisurely pace "in the pack".

A drinks stops in the lovely New Forest near Shepton Bridge.

Lunch in the garden of the Morant Arms, right next to Brockenhurst Station.

Clearly Alan enjoyed his lunch stop!

But Christine looks a bit less cheerful as she makes emergency repairs to her feet.

Pleasant walking, if a long way, brought us to a final drink stop at Thorney Hill.

Another mile and a half and we reached Bransgore Social Club...

...whilst some pilgrims slept in the adjacent Scout Hut.
