Day 14: Rothbury to Whittingham

We were definitely feeling the pace by now...

...so it was as well we had effectively a morning off in Rothbury, though we weren't sure what to do with ourselves! Well, postcards for a start. here are a couple of the village...

We did have a couple of miles to walk this morning, across to Thropton where the Cross Keys welcomed us.

Strangely for such a remote area, Thropton also had a Catholic church (served from Rothbury) where we prayed before heading north once again.

The walk concluded with Holy Communion at the parish church before we reached the hall.
