The Bath Pilgrimage 1986

Day 8: Kingsclere to Kintbury

Preparing for the day at Kingsclere Community Centre.

Early Communion at St Mary's, Kingsclere.

Sheila prepares for the day.

We climb Watership Down - no sign of rabbits, but a good view.

Linda takes a drink.

Open air prayers on Ladle Hill...

...physical as well as spiritual refreshment.

OK, you've dragged me up here, now what am I supposed to do?

We join the Wayfarer's Walk (which runs from Emsworth to Inkpen Beacon).

The Plough at Ashmansworth - lunch, and the best pint of Marstons Pedigree I have ever tasted.

Leader Alan prepares for the afternoon.

We prayed at St Laurence's, West Woodhay.

Some just rested!

Others were more adventurous!

Next stop is for Mass at St Mary's, Kintbury, only a few hundred metres from the hall.

And so to the Jubilee Centre which, with the Coronation Hall, provide our roof for the night.
