WELCOME TO THE 2003 DIARY PAGES

This year's cross:

The 2003 pilgrimage was characterised by the heat. Our first walking day, out of Dover, was purportedly the hottest day in Britain since records began.

We did have some welcome, heavy showers the following morning, but no rain thereafter, and although it was a little cooler in the second week, it was hot and sunny right through to the end.

Apart from the pleasant walking on the downs and along the sea front (and, of course, the good company), other memorable features included several intensely personal and moving prayer stops, the blessing of the bench in memory of Father John Medcalf and our visit to Capel House Farm.
