Westminster to Birmingham - Newman Pilgrimage 2011

Day 12: Rest Day in Warwick

Our rest day base is close to the racecourse, about 15 mins walk from the town centre.

Some pilgrims visited Warwick Castle, and took in the views.

Becky was one of them.

A display of birds of prey.

Others visited the town - and some unusual street names.

Historic buildings.

Looking up at the castle.

Looking down from the tower of St Mary's Church.

Some stayed around the hall and played boules.

Some sorted the remaining food in the van.

Clare worked in the kitchen.

Isaac was on his last day - GCSE results tomorrow [* He got 12 A*s and 2A's - congratulations!]

Football - in a dress?

Clare surveys the job specifications we worked on last night.

An electrical fault left us in darkness - the caretaker and others tried to resolve the issue.

Pilgrims at the local chip shop getting their takeaway suppers.

After supper we had a very fruitful open discussion on the future of the pilgrimage, which continued in small groups late into the night.
