Day 17: Holy Island to Durham

The morning after! Sunday! Mass and Holy Communion, a chance to see the island in day light, briefly, before our celebration lunch.

A thoughtful time - our pilgrimage almost complete.

Lunch and celebrations complete, we boarded a coach to take us to Durham, stopping en route at St Paul's Monastery, Jarrow, where the Venerable Bede had lived and worked.
