What? The 'usual thing': sleeping in the village hall, a walk and pub lunch on Saturday, with an afternoon celebration service and a barn dance in the evening. Mass and an optional steam-train ride on Sunday. But most of all, an opportunity to meet old friends and pilgrims from other years, and to give thanks in true pilgrim style for all the blessings we have enjoyed over 25 years.
Where? Ropley in Hampshire, the home of Aid & Meld , who met on that very first pilgrimage
Why? 31st March is the 25th Anniversary of the start of the very first A&B Walking Pilgrimage, organised by Fr Bill back in 1975
Who? - YOU!!! Everyone and anyone who has taken part in a pilgrimage is invited, however little, however long ago. But neither do you have to be an old stager: even if 1999 was your first year, you are as much a part of our pilgrim family as those hoping for long-service awards! If you can't stay for the whole weekend, come when you can. If, because of age or young children or whatever, you can't sleep on the hall floor, get in touch - we have some offers of accommodation.
Can't make it? We'd still love to hear from you - we'll put up a board with messages from pilgrims who cannot join us. Snail mail or
e-mail, it's all welcome!
Thinking of dropping in? It's best to get in touch as the arrangements are fluid! We can send updated info by mail, fax or e-mail. For the latest, try revisiting this website.
