DAY SIX Rest Day in Leominster

This was a well-deserved rest day, after four gruelling days' walking. Some were up early enough to attend Mass at the local Catholic church, others celebrated Mass in the hall a little later.

Then, the primary rest day activity: a visit to the lauderette.

Luckily this launderette was almost next door to the pub, so we could relax and pop back to check on progress . . .

. . . if we weren't glued to the cricket on the telly!

We were joined by Margaret Nicholls and baby Adam, who are staying in the area.

Back at the hall, people had done hand washing and hung it out to dry, including on the underwear tree.

Many took the opportunity to visit the priory church, which we'll only be able to see briefly tomorrow morning.

Others again went shopping - or at least window shopping.

Sadly we couldn't go swimming - this is the new swimming pool . .

Others again rested, this one after long nights at the keyboard writing parts of this diary.

And some tended their wounds.

And now, it's a take-away supper and sing song. You may find more pictures on this page later - or you may not!
