The Bristol to Arundel Pilgrimage 2023

Day 14: Midhurst to Arundel

We walk through the picturesque town of Midhurst and out to the SE to join the Serpent Trail. This wiggles across the heathland to the Graffham passing the village shop and calling in at the Foresters Arms. The food is good (there will be a menu for pre-orders Thursday evening). NB Rolls should be eaten before or after the pub. After lunch we admire this quaint and well kept village all the way to St Giles. The prayer stop is to strengthen our resolve for the leg burning ascent to the South Downs escarpment high above. Miles of rolling countryside follow to Whiteways Roundabout. Look out for the farm cafe on the way. The Arundel Park estate has very helpfully agreed to open the lodge gates so we can go safely into the Park and over the hills to journeys end: Arundel Cathedral
