Holy Year Pilgrimage 1975

Day 2: Midhurst to Farnham

Our second day was a long haul over the sandy heaths of south west Surrey. We trekked across waterlogged fields...

to a pub for lunch (the Spaniard) and then on to Waggoner's Wells, a local beauty spot where the pilgrims fed the swans...

... and two Providence sisters from Haslemere walked with us (this was a great pilgrimage for local participation: our small numbers were often swelled considerably).

And so to Farnham, where Fr Bill Haynes, our leader, was curate.
