Day 7: Rest Day in Ripon

After 5 days' walking we'll be ready for some rest and recuperation, physical and spiritual. Ripon Cathedral will be preparing for a Taylor Swift tribute concert so there are no tours, and we're getting in early to join the 9:30 Communion. Later we can join the parish Mass at noon at St Wilfrid's. The rest of the day is free.

There are 2 launderettes listed in North Street, just 3 minute walk from our accommodation, The Ripon Leisure and Wellbeing Hub - The Jack Laugher Centre is located on Dallamires Lane. The centre offers a 25 metre six lane swimming pool, state-of-the-art gym and a sauna and steam room. It's less than a mile from the hall. Other attractions include Ripon Spa gardens, museums (Workhouse Museum, Prison & Police Museum, Courthouse Museum. Fountains Abbey (National Trust) can be reached by a 30-minute bus ride. Aidan Simons
