The Bath Pilgrimage 1986

Day 3: Billingshurst to Haslemere

First stop is the church next to the hall for Mass.

It's farewell to Julie, who's been unwell and can no longer walk.

Sister Margaret prepares for the day.

Our route our of Billingshurst takes us past the Anglican parish church.

Crossing the River Arun - this may be the crossing labelled "Weir on our way to Wembley" in 1982.

This lot should be locked up!

Lunch at the Half Moon at Kirdford.

Maurice sampling their wares.

Prayers after lunch at St John the Baptist church...

...hurry up pilgrims!

Then off through the standing corn...

...passing Ebernoe Church, where we don't seem to have stopped...

...though it seems quite pretty.

We head into Northchapel...

...where the vicar welcomes us.

Eileen and Ethel find a friend.

And thus to Haslemere's Methodist Church hall, our overnight accommodation.
