Today should be a fairly easy and pleasant day. In the morning we walk mainly on quiet footpaths and don't meet many people except where we cross a camping site and a park just before Milnthorpe. After prayers we re-trace our steps along the B5282 and follow this for 1/2 mile. We have to cross this road several times as there isn't a continuous footpath along it so watch out for traffic. After the B road we walk for several miles along very peaceful roads before we come back to the A6 again just before Levens Hall. The pub at Levens serve meals, particularly I think pizzas, and good real ale but is not keen on people eating their own grub but St. John's Church is nearby. After leaving Levens we climb a small hill and then drop down to the Strickland Arms and follow a pleasant walk along the river Kent into Kendal.
