Todays walk can be divided into 3 parts:fields, hills and city with a river and canal, punctated by a village church, pub and cathedral followed by mass. For much of the day we are following the Sirhowy Valley Walk. We stop for prayers at St Woolos Cathedral in Newport before reaching our halls: we are split across two halls tonight. Then we need to regather for Vigil Mass at the Catholic church, which is also the location of the main hall where we will be having dinner.
