We have learnt of the recent death of Ewa Knebloch who was an active pilgrim with us around 15 years ago. At that time, she worked as a carer in the Brighton area. More recently she moved back to Poland. This is the Polish funeral notice:

and here is a translation of part of it into English:
In Loving Memory of EWA KNEBLOCH-KOZŁOWSKA
who was our dearly beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother
With deep sorrow we announce that on 30 September 2026, fortified by the Holy Sacraments, she passed away in the Lord at the age of 68.
The funeral ceremonies will be held on 17 October 2026 (Saturday) at 11:00 a.m. at the cemetery chapel on Nowotarska Street in Zakopane.
From the family, plunged in grief and mourning.
Here are some photos of Ewa from the St David’s Pilgrimage in 2010:

I remember her.
Was that the year when we were quartered in a youth hostel plus tents in the garden on a very rainy restday?
Way too young to pass away.
Yes that was the St David’s pilgrimage on which at Aberystwyth many of us were quartered in tents.
