Gillian has advised us that Monica’s funeral will take place at 10:00am on Friday 11 September 2015, at St John the Baptist Church, Bristol Road, Kemp Town, Brighton, BN2 1AP. (See here, map HERE).
Monica, for so long our bookings secretary, drinks dispenser and shepherd of pilgrims (making sure all were accounted for) sadly lost her long battle with cancer yesterday, 18 August 2015.
She was an example to us all as she remained cheerful throughout.
Monica and her sister Gillian joined our first pilgrimage in 1975 as day pilgrims (with their mum Helena I believe) and until a few years ago Monica was a stalwart of the pilgrim support team. I look forward to meeting her again, standing by the pearly gates with a stack of plastic cups, ready for the heavenly refreshments to come.

I am so sorry not to be able to make Monica’s funeral as we are away on holiday. However be assured that we will pause and reflect on her life and say a prayer when we are in a church that day.
