Saturday 10th – Sunday 25th August 2019
It was agreed at the recent AGM that our Pilgrimage for 2019 will start at Lincoln Cathedral with our final destination being St Hilda’s Abbey, Whitby in North Yorkshire. It is envisaged that the route will include Hull, Beverley Minster, and Bridlington Priory.
Committee Members are now working on the route and booking accommodation. A list of daily destinations will be available at the forthcoming Reunion Weekend on the 26th October and will be posted on the website. Further updates and a short history of St Hilda will be posted shortly.
Talking of the reunion, don’t forget to book! I will add the booking form to the reunion link as soon as possible
Excellent choice. We are looking forward to walking back in Yorkshire. Love from the Polish Pilgrims.
Hi Monika – That’s wonderful news! We look forward to seeing you all again in August 2019. We will remember you at the Woking Reunion. Love from us all.

I know of the pligrimage , also I have researched St Hilda, question, why from Lincoln to Whitby. Am very interested , I know she was Abbess at Whitby and founded a college at Oxford. But I don’t understand where Lincoln fits in.
Many thanks for an explanation.
Kind regards
Mrs M Thompson
There is no particular link between Lincoln and St Hilda. Having decided Whitby would be the destination of our pilgrimage this year, we needed to find a significant place to start from, that was around 100 miles as the crow flies from Whitby, and which would give a good walking route, and Lincoln fitted the bill!
